Switch off front airbag

Hi lads,

Just a quick one, does anyone know how to turn off the front airbag in a MY02 1.6 impreza. The girlfriend wants to put the babyseat in the front when shes using the car???

maybe your not able to
I know some cars you cant
usually there is a key barell on the side of the dashboard on some cars where you put the key in and tun it to switch of the airbag

Dont think you can but could be wrong.

Gis a bell and I will go through how to disconnect from power.Bit nerve wrecking trying to remove and hopeing it not going to go off

Id say you may do what Carlo has mentionEd and unplug the passEnger airbag, you will have a airbag light on in car when this is done, but hay ho nothing you can do other than this if there is not a switch. Will be doing the same on womans car over next few weeks as it has no switch either
