Smoke coming trough air vents

Lads while driving today i got alot of smoke coming trough the air vents into the car :shock: :shock: :shock:
Pulled over and popped the bonnet and didnt see any smoke from anywere :ponder:
Drove off again and the interior started filling up with smoke again! :shoot:
So is it something got to do with the air con?
ANY help greatly appreacted!!!
 
Wouldnt drive till checked out just to be on the safe side.

Is there smoke if air con turned off.

Could be leak in exhaust or wires melting.

Still get it checked - never used the air com in mine - sure someone later will be able to help later.

[/quote]Its not exactely the air con!It happenes when i turn on the heaters/de-mister things :doh:

There you go (now im going to have to find out what a heater matrix is)

Whats the story with them AndyC WILL HE BE OK TO STILL DRIVE

Dave ifs it a problem Im sure one of the Cork lads could collect you.But hopefully youll be sorted by them.

dave ,does the smoke smell of burnt oil,if so it could be your front/back crack shaved oil seal gone and leaking down on to the manifold or gearbox and the heat from them burning the oil off
 
If it is the heater matrix then you shouldnt drive.

Heres what you need to take out to get to it....

Are you sure its "smoke"? I mean does it smell of smoke? What colour is it?

[/quote]It does'nt smell of burnt oil,its more of a burning plastic/lead kind of smell!if your right jonny would there be some smoke in the engine bay?
i have absolutaly no smoke under the bonnet!!it's all flowing straight into the cockpit :cry: :cry: :cry:

@AndyC...it's defenetly smoke.it's thick and white and the second i turn the heater to 'hot' it fills up the inside of the car!!!
Its ok when i have it on 'cold' do!! :ponder:

did'nt wanna be ringing him as it's the weekend and i dont wanna be annoying anyone if there off for the weekend!
 
You gonna chance the trip up to Japfest?
Might find a garage open in the morning that might take a quick look at it.

the smell in the car has me chocking now,even do i left the windows open all day!
