Safe water temperature for track car??

I have a 2.2 vtec perlude track car just after an engine rebuild, the engine failed during one of last years trackdays because she went too hot, i have a way to control the cooling fans on the radiator now but cant make up my mind what temperature to keep the water ,anyone have any input? is there a disadvantage to having it too cold?? thanks in advance

early 90's is the norm, but the higher the pressure is in the system - the higher the boiling point is. i.e. my 205 has heating trouble with a 1.3 bar car, but with 1.8 it's fine.

between 90 and 100 is what i use on the rally cars and have the fans on a seperate toggle switch in the car if ur going that route....
