centre diff fooked

carlee

Petrolheads
right lads it took me two weeks to get confirmed what Robbie (sweetcakes)
told it would be, now do i get my own repaired or buy one from a scrappy
which would be best road to go, i was told maybe go 6 speed would it be
any benefit to me :ponder:
if i did go 6 wot else needs to be changed ?
and wot kinda prices would i expect to pay

it will cost you 3-4 grand for a 6 speed fitted so no need unless you want to run big power

second hand diff or recon it if you dont mind the car off the road for a week or two.

Johnny's right on the price there for the 6 speed, you'd need the box, prop shaft, rear r160 diff(to match gearbox), clutch, flywheel, linkages and starter motor.

If you were to rebuild your own, you could be looking at paying the same as you would for a 6 speed. Bits from the centre diff thats sh!t itself could easily have done more damage to gear teeth, etc.

Get a second hand low mileage box unless you are going for big power.

cheers lads defo wont be goin 6 speed so ,
have to get few pounds together so if ya still
have that box when i do, i will be onto dave
