Exhaust manifold leak

Can a slight leak in headers manifold cause some kind of lag at certain rpm?


Thinking about it from a technical point of view.. it might be the case... but did anyone here experience that before in their scoobies?

I can hear it leaking somewhere near the gasket.

Yes, absolutely - the turbo forms a restriction so you have positive pressure between engine and turbo, and leak will cause turbo lag as the escaped gas is not powering the hot side of the turbo.
