what is a BT4 260BHP & my car Legacy BL5 2004 help

Never heard of a BT4.
There are various specs depending on what country...basic run down of performance models
Your model is the BL 2003 on..they where 2.0 single turbo 280bhp in the JDM model some called B4 some called GT...the autos are 260bhp
The euro had a 3.0 litre flat 6(n/a) that was a spec b that has 250bhp
the BE ran from 99-2003 these are all JDM called B4 rsk...all twin turbo the manual had 280bhp the auto 260bhp.
Also a couple of rare models S401 in the BE and S402 in the BL... basically fully factory sti models

No such legcy model as a BT4, seems like a typo made by whoever registered the car. Its a BL5 model subaru legacy B4, DOHC TURBO, M/T with EJ20Y engine code. 280hp as standard.
When i was insuring mine they didnt have the jap turbo legacy in their system, they only has a BE5 twin turbo listed for 2003, they said its the same. They dont have a clue about the imports. Is it down as a legacy turbo on your insurance?

Looks like the insurance company only have records for the BE5 twin turbo (older) model legacy.
They dont have a listing for your BL model (newer single turbo) and presume someone has modified a BE with a single turbo conversion.
Their shitty old systems fault and total lack of knowledge about Jap imports and cars in general!
