gersti

Petrolheads
as above lads the lookin to get the code numbers from the gearbox and rear diff wondering are these handy to read underneath the car i changed the diff and gearbox oil today during lunch in work and took down some numbers but dont think there the right codes any help cheers  cause i think they could be uprated not sure :dontknow:

What makes you think they are uprated? Numbers are around starter area

Dont think there are any numbers on diff itself, diff will be matched to gearbox number.
There is no upgrading on a gearbox unless it has the likes of PPG internals etc etc,

Sure its a type r aint it?? them and the ra have the lowest gearing.. what you at when doing 100kms in 5th.. 3k revs?

no its over 3000 the chap i bought it off said it was set up for hill climbing :dontknow: i had the mates v4 doing work on it and his isn as low geared as mine and its a type r also

What Rpm is it doing it at?? I think an RA has lower gearing than a Type R
