have NCT tomorrow heres my quistion.
i have a decat system will that alone
fail NCT or is it down to emmisions.

if its full de-cat from turbo back yes you will fail,if its just back box and center piece you should pass no prob.... :thumbsup:
 
im not worried about emmisions my quistion is.
if the cat's not on it "standard equip" will this alone
fail the car.
 
ur question was answered in all the replies above, just take off the bellmount de cat, and replace with catted one
 
They wont fail you for having it de-catted or having a modified exhaust that is non standard.
They will fail you on emissions or if there are any leaks/defects on exhaust system.
 
If they ask just say DaCat wasnt under bonnet when you left home and must be the neighbours cause you dont own DaCat :hammerhead:
 
not sure about the impreza exhaust system but i have 2 cat sections in the legacy, if the one closest to turbo is removed, will car still past emissions with just the one smaller cat still in place?

Should do Dan, I took the center CAT out of mine and only have the small one at the primary turbo catted and did fine :thumbsup:
 
Are your`e emissions test different than n.ireland as a fully de-catted car will not fail mot.
Its tested on idle so car would need to be running very rich to fail
