i was away for a few days and went out to the car earlier only to find my rad, water pipes etc frooze solid
i hadnt tried start it thank god
is there anything i can do?
is my engine gona be fucked?

its a 2dr type r but i doubt that matters much...

what my mate done with his peugot was put a heating fan under neath the engine blowing warm air up. and put a blanket around the engine. does this everynight and that works for him.
last thing you need is to crack somfin, my micra engine popped due to ice :(

ye il try that mate
im gona take the pipes of and try free them up with hot water aswell
worth a try i suppose

id take the bottom hose off. and leave it in a clean bucket. watch using hot water it might cause a crack somewhere, going from freezing to hot. a gental increase in temp should be ok but sudden might cause issues. thats me being causious..

ye il just use tap water wont be boiling the kettle that would be dangerous...

sick i didnt check the coolant

you may try to heat the engine some way, even the water pump is probably now frozen solid, so dont start the car as you could throw the timing belt off, get her into a garage and put a diesel heater in garage or something

your best to let it taw out itself prob take a while but be the safest put in wrong temp of water end up puttin a hair line crack in the block and be costly then let it take its course be grand then

Might be a silly idea!!!
Electric blanket???
Please let me know if it is a silly idea!!!!

its an idea int it hammie.
id say needs to be thawed slowly with a pipe open. just so it can freely move. could be wrong.
