knock link sensor

hello guys am new to the form, just want to know does anyone here know much about the knock link, are they a good buy, where would i get one, what sort of money are they and are they hard to fit. it is for a 92 rs legacy. thanks.

Welcome along...speak to renno555(Damo)he used to have knocklinks,and they are a good device to have,and one size fits all...is your car running big power,because i dont think it would be nessasary if your just running standard gear...IMOP....

Have one on mine and i have to say its very handy, it will light up a few lights when its under heavy load but that's just engine background noise.
But if you see amber or red its time to get the octaine booster in very handy bit of kit.
Even if your not running mad power id still have one, any turbo charged subaru will suffer from knock (pinking, det,) if it is not mapped for 95 sh1t.
You can hear knock or pinking (well some people can) but with the lights its makes it eazy to know when its happing.
