Turbo needs changing

Hi all
Hav a 00 v5 type r and turbo went dis eve..
What to do?? Get second hand or go Reconditioned
or different turbo from standard one that's in it (vf28) I think.
Any ideas? what ye using??
 
You cant just bolt on an upgraded turbo and driver her on.

Best and cheapest option is a used VF28.

Could I put any of the vf range on? Would they need a remap to run properly. What kinda euro's are vf28 making these days?
 
I'd rather put the same model of turbo, any other will require remap for sure!

VF28 is a very nice turbo. :thumbsup:
 
Well

Got one sorted there earlier, courier delevery wed. Back on road Thursday
All going well. Second hand 60k no play, €100. beaut. Couldn't afford to be
Spending more money on it. There's always something but sure that's the joys of it. :grin:
 
Well you better be really carefull wit the shitty black inlet pipe going onto turbo, the are real easy to damage, and then your car wont be back on road and it will cost you more than 100 after all
 
Now don't go putting the hex on me :shhh:
Was replaced 2 months ago, meant to be a bit of a job ta replace alright.
Won't worry bout it just yet...
