Engine temp dropping

Lads quick question I changed the oil pump and timing belt the other day but haven't drove much since went out this eve did bout 50 miles and stopped in petrol station noticed a bit of water on the exhaust under top rad hose side of engine but Couldn see where it was coming from as it was pissing rain so wasn staying out all night looking drove home and noticed car started ta cool down ... Well temp needle dropped any way but still had heaters fairly hot but noticed when I stopped at lights the heaters went cold light went green so drove off and heaters went hot again..... What ya reckon???was thinking water pump????

Would think you are low on coolant/have a leak somewhere.. Check the level when the car is cold..

Might want to check your thermostat!!!
Sounds like it may be stuck open leaving the cooing system to flow free flow!

Checked level this morning was perfect but temp needle didn really rise up on way to work but I had heat

For piece of mind ya might wan to manually check both top an bottom rad hoses are heating when the cars running!!!!

Yea both hoses were hot last night...
