Oil for 96 Jap wrx???

Ok lads i wanna do an oil change so just wondering what oil i should use?

The car is a 93 wrx with a 96 V2 wrx engine, mileage is about 95k kms.

Subaru said to use 10w40 but being a jap car maybe i should use different oil???

Anyone else with the same engine got any suggestions?

10w 40 is fine for standard mods..I use 15w50 mobil one but have a few bits done to my cat but that will be fine :thumbsup:
 
Its a bog standard car, the only mods are a dump valve and electronic boost controller which is set to standard .8 bar,

I dont drive the arse out of the car but do give it the odd blast as its hard not to :lol:

So maybe i should stick with the 10w40 semi?
