turbo letting go?

Lads,my car is making whinning noise,when i pull up at he front door it sound like the turbo in whindind down and seems to take a little while.It was never audible before.Any thoughts on this.Personally i feel it might be the end of my turbo. :dunno:

Sounds like bearings in the turbo mine has been making this noise for about a year its getting a bit smokey now,dont think she has long left

And the VF isent cost effective to get re built :?
