1989 2door Ford Escort Solitaire(XR3i Shell with a 1.4 engine)

Car starts on the button, could do with a bit of tiding.
4 speed box too.
Totally standard orginal Ford spec, very good interior.
Comes with Factory fitted alarm and immobiliser(still works)
Nice 15inch alloys.


Not the best photo i know, will get more when i'm down home.

mk3 and mk4 used to love them
does she have the recaros in her ?

No Recaros in this model, its a bit of a strange one though.
We think its meant to be an XR3i but Ford put a Ghia interior and engine
into it hence called an Escort Solitaire. Weird! Ford logic.

We even got a few spare parts to throw in the boot for any Club member :thumbsup:

NCT and Tax are out, it'll need a bit of welding on the sills but its running like a clock.

Ah know that, some Ford club member told us the whole histroy of the Solitaire
model, how Ford couldn't be bothered putting the 1.6 XR3 engine in to them, but wanted
to flog them on. So ended up with 1.3 base spec. Ford were mad(still are
for saving money. Even have a MK 2 Cortina 2 door in the shed that came with a 1.3 engine in it.:thumbsup:

There a big tanks the old Fords. The other Escort is a MK 3 alrite.

Has a 1.6 engine in it out of one my old Xr3i. Had feckin 5 of the at one stage

back when a was young and mad. So do you fancy giving an auld Escort a good home

i'd throw in a mountain of spares to go with it. :icon_grin:

In the usual places, sills and arches but thats common
enough, can be viewed any time you like.
