Tar and Bug Remover.

Hi Folks I need some of this but I would like something gentle on the paintwork Thanks John Lewis.

Autosmart tardis is the best available, bout €20 from a rep if you can get hold of one... Not available in the shops though

Autoglym bug and tar is pretty decent too, not quite as effective though and its expensive for the quantity you get.. If you are coming to the meet in the autoglym warehouse: http://www.isdc.ie/discussion/index.php?topic=26204.0 then you'll get a much better deal than you would in Halfords etc...

Stay away from the meg's one, its dog poo... Triggers give up the ghost pretty quickly and the fact that its creamy textured just annoys me...


All bug and tar removers will be tough on paint, just don't leave it sit ion the paint for any great lenght of time, a couple of mins will do... After you're finished detarring the whole car, rewash it using fresh mitt and shampoo

Yes, it is.. expensive sample all the same.. Detailer also sells it.. If you can get a rep to meet you 5litres is only €20 or less..

No mate, sorry i gave you that impression... Its €20 for 5L... Its probably actually the best value for money on the market too
