Petrolheads
Right got anti-rattle clips to stop the pads moving around as it was driving me nuts, went to take a nut off from the driver's side wheel and the nut pretty much sheered off. had the garage across the road from me tackle it today, they tried to put reverse threads on the nut but with no joy :angry1: :angry1: has anyone any kind of tool that will take it off without damaging the wheel??

Cheers

Alloy or steel wheel nuts??
If Alloy, you can buy yourself a few 3mm, 4mm and 5mm drill bits and dig away at the remainder of the nut!
That's what I did when it happened to me, you could also sacrifice the stud, try to drill down the middle and get bigger and bigger as you go!
Dan

Depending on how much of the stud is left you'll end up doing what dan said and drilling it off, easier to drill the nut instead of the stud. Its a pain in the ass alright :wall:

Thats exactly whats after happening to me Dan, couldn't believe it when it happened

I'll try drilling it out so, cheers lads

If you want to spin down to Naas some evening, I'll give you a hand, bit of experiance!
We live and learn,
Either way, best of luck man,
Dan
