Brake fluid and clutch fluid change questions- how often, how much, what...

Milo

Sunday Drivers
1. How often to change clutch fluid? same as with brake fluid, that is every other year or 20-30k km?
2. How much would one need for each (brakes and clutch)? ~0.5l for each??
3. Would any DOT 3 or 4 be fine for both jobs?
P.S. car in question is non-turbo Forester 2.0X MY07

As above! regarding brakes anyway!
I have no experiance with the clutch,
If you are not 100% confident going at the brakes, best leave it to a proper mechanic!

Best of luck

I would not go anywhere near it myself- going to order a few bits and bobs for the car and thought that getting some fluids as well would be sensible. I would expect clutch to take take much less than brakes actually (kinda ~0.1-0.2l)- the reservoir is tiny and afterall there is only one (not 4) clutch:)...but do you need to change it???
