Advice - looking clutch kit for impreza uk turbo 2000

im looking a clutch kit for my
2000 uk impreza turbo 2000 uk model
running standard except for cat back exhaust
clutch is very stiff but not slipping as yet

im after a very light to press clutch, oem or lighter
iv had an ankle operation in the past and dont want to stress my ankle to much,
only need one that can handle 220-230bhp

i fitted a excedy 225 clutch pressure plate
with a valeo clutch in my last impreza
a import gc8c 260bhp 4door impreza wrx classic,
since sold

i found it quite short and pretty stiff to press
for a brand new clutch kit
wasnt that happy with it at all in fairness

heres a pic below

so idealy im after the lightest impreza clutch to press that can handle standard power

is the standard o uk 2000 turbo oem clutch made by daikin?
anyone ever try a blueprint clutch kit for impreza?
anyone recommend any other manufacters for nice light clutch?
any reasonibily price AP,LUK or valeo priced kits out there?

any help or advice appriciated :subaru:

Just replace it with a standard Subaru STI 3 piece kit, if your not running over 350bhp, the standard sti kit will be perfect, you could try get a motor factor one but there would be more chance of it maybe being not as user friendly for you

Could you use any auld clutch disc, and get a Pressure plate off a Uk turbo from froggy?
Would that give the most normal clutch!
Ciaran rs/ra put a different clutch master cylinder in to mone to make it a lot lighter!
So that's another option! maybe try that first!

think it will be hard to get a pull type clutch that will feel light.
Dan did you put a 5spd slave onto the 6spd box? if thats what mod you done it wont make any difference in this case as he already has 5spd

had a blue print clutch kit on my mr2 turbo v light and well able ta handle the power and i was fairly hard on it for over a year and never had a single problem with it

I do believe there was parts of 5sp clutch used,
But he was saying that AP Racing do a veriety of different cylinders to choose from so lots of options!
