headlights problem

hi guys, my headlights went a few weeks ago but not sidelights or full beams. i had them checked and was told the headlight switch unit was faulty so replaced that and they worked again fine. until now, gone again the same way, any thoughts please? year 2000 type r

Sounds to me like a short circuit somewhere. Have you replaced fuses as well?

and what exactly is a headlight switch unit? Do you mean the headlight on and off knob at the steering wheel?

yep, the switch that turns on the headlights, i replaced the full thing from another jap. ill get them to check fuses etc this time, just wanted to check if other people had a similar problem

do you have standard 50-60W bulbs?
