Clutch on bug eye

ya mine has this too i think its because there is no immobiliser built into the ignition or something like that :dunno: have seen it in a couple more aswell when i was looking for mine its kind of annoying :angry:
 
just the jap bugeyes.....if that what you're asking :thumbsup:



In my Irish bugeye, all you have to do is sit in, turn the key, spend over €1000 on fixing fuel pump problems, and away she goes!! :lol: :lol:

so any ideas why its a clucth start on a jap and not an irish ?
I believe the eninge is the jap bugeye is a rare one ?. Well thats what Pat said when he was remapping mine..

Hello FatherTed,

I'd say its a safety feature, so you don't start your car in gear. Mine is the same too. It also "bongs" when you leave the key in the ignition with the door open etc......  :roll:

Maybe different safety rules for different countries  :ponder:

yeah o2 jap bug eye aswell, and i have the clutch and bong noise and she ll even beep in reverse, still fukin luvin it !
 
it is a safety switch to stop starting the car in gear most american cars have as well its easy by passed
