quick track tyre question

Would tarmac rally tyres be ok to use on the trackday coming up?? Or do i need a set of say toyo r888??

are these for your road car? and what suspension are you running?

if your running standard suspension the grip from the slicks will reck your standard suspension by putting to much strain on them.

theres also no need to go buying r888 just for the track day, as there mad money and if its your first track day they will be a waiste of money anyway.

once you a half decent tyre you will be grand.

Im looking at part worn tarmac tyres... im running standard shocks with tein springs and full whiteline arbs, drop links, anti lift...

there just for my old wheels for the track day...

they will pull the sh*t out of your suspension as the slicks will have to much grip towards a standard tyre

Are you runnig 18" wheels? most tarmac rally tyres are 18"
Hankook rs2 are the cheapest track tyre I have ever found! not as grippy as R888's, but very hard wearing!
Road tyres will over heat and bead, and lumps will fall out of them if you stay out for to long!
Run plenty of neg camber to stop the outside edges front scrubbing away!
