Legacy brake lines.

I'm putting an order in for a set of braided lines for my car on Friday and just wondering if anyone can confirm whether the Legacy B4's are a 4 or 6 line kit? Different sites seem to have different sets for the one car. Any ideas?

They are a 6 line kit Mark... 1 line for the front and then 2 lines for the rear.. Goodridge list it from a "Subaru legacy B4 non-uk 1998-1999"

Good man Robbie. On the HEL site which i was looking at, it has the only 6 line kit listed as being for BL/BP, Spec B so I'm wondering now whether they are the same or not. Choice of colours from HEL and I've a discount code too! :lol:

They do it in a 4 line kit and its listed for the BE/BH model 1999-2003 so maybe they do them in the 4 line kit :dontknow: ... My goodridge one are definitely 6 lines though... But you have a comeback there because they are listed for the exact car you have so they can't argue... Maybe send them an email to confirm?

Let me know if you are getting them as i see they do fronts only... I twisted one of my goodridge ones which is now binned so need a new set of fronts and we could split the shipping :thumbsup:
 
That's the one i was looking at originally but then the talk of 6 line kits started to confuse me!! :lol:

I'll email them in a bit and see what they have to say and i'll let you know then! :thumbsup:
 
My goodridge hoses were definitely a 6 line kit.. Mark got goodridge hoses there recently and his were the same 6 line kit :dontknow: ... Maybe HEL just make it one piece but now i'm remembering, i think there has to be 6... at the rear, one pipe goes from the back of the caliper to metal piping and then a second hose goes from metal piping to another metal pipe... 99% sure on that now that i remember... If you can take your back wheel off you can follow it and you'll know for sure... I've to go to ciaran's garage later so i'll see if he can check it too..
 
Looks like its going to be the Goodridge i go for then, or i might take a chance on the 6 line HEL kit for the Spec B and see how they match up. Thanks for the help Robbie. :thumbsup:
 
I would email them to check or take your own wheel off to check before going goodridge as they will be £30 or £40 more expensive.. I'll see if i can get a goosy gander around the car later and I'll report back :thumbsup:

Hi Mark,

Yes, I've had someone else ask the same thing. We were going to send a
6 line kit out to a customer for the 3.0 Spec B to see if that fits
but he cancelled the order.

Got a few options really:

- Send out the 4 line kit and see if it fits
- Send out the 6 line kit for the Spec B (at the same cost of the 4
line kit - £59.95)
- Have a look and see how many lines you have

Ask them if they are willing to offer free delivery on the basis that you will pay for return delivery if they do not fit.. Also, don't forget my fronts :icon_grin:
 
Defintely 6 lines Mark... Spoke to Ciaran and there is that little small one that fits between 2 pipes on the rear... I would be a little wary of getting the 6 line version from the spec B as you don't know the lenghts and the fit might be terrible... I would only take them on condition they could be returned after you have tried to fit them...
