power steering pump question in classic

Sunday Drivers
have an annoying whine coming from the power steering pump.there are a few for sale on ebay advertised for a classic wrx 98-00.will this fit my version 5 type r?
 
They should.
Pumps in classics seem to be actually pretty much the same except for fluid tanks different over years.
 
It might just need to to be bled, You should try that before replacing it.

Just take the reservoir cap off, start the car and slowly turn the steering full lock left then full lock right several times. Top up the fluid afterwards if needs be :thumbsup:
