Dump Value Sound

Just a quick question, why when using E5 instead of 95 would the Dump Value not be as loud?

on my 1st fill of E5 i just thought it was me, but last week i had to use normal 95 as 1 wasnt near E5
was in tralee yesterday and filled up on E5 and now today the Dump Value Sound is alot lower again, but car runs fine as normal (well even better on E5)

Just curious more than anything.

usually i find mine louder at night when its cooler

well going to tralee yesterday was hummid and about 18/19C
coming home it was 14C and still loud as normal.
This morning it was 14/15C and was not so loud anymore back to way it was last time i use E5.

Im not worried about it, its just interesting hehehe

hmm interesting..while running E5 your engine would be running advanced timing therefore using more air and fuel, as the turbo is forcing the air in, that would mean in theory you should have less air to release..I can't say if that's true as that is a complete guess..weather and atmospheric pressure would be a much more influential factor.

well its was 11c this morning and still a lower sound.. so dont think its caused by temp cos its the same at 11c as it was at 19c
