shocks help!!

I've noticed a knock in the front left shock,only happens when I go over slight bumps and big ones of course!!the drivers side is fine.any ideas on what it may be??its a 2002 impreza wrx sti.all info and help greatly appreciated!!
 
top mounts on the shock are a weak spot

or could be front drop links
 
you haven't hit a curb or a pothole or anything recently?


Could be something damaged that you havent noticed!!!
