hi guys- does anyone know of any engine improvments i can add to the car- its putting out 210bhp ( rolling road tested ) so was just looking for some simple modifications to improve power- as far as i know the car is standard but there maybe some! any help much appreciated :worship:
I'm guessing there must be some slight mods already as the legacy only had 197 bhp std . Either that or thr rolling road is ambitious - which one did you use ?
As for mods , the Legacy responds well to exhaust mods . A full decat system should gain around 20 bhp . Even more power can be gained by fitting a piggy-back chip such as the VOS chip . That combined with the exhaust should see around 265 bhp . The VOS chip is also cheap as well - mine was only £150 + postage and fairly easy to fit .
If you fit a TD05 turbo along with a different version of the VOS chip you will see at least 280 bhp .
I would suggest you upgrade the crap brakes before adding any more power . A set of Impreza 4-pots bolts straight on & makes a world of difference to the stopping power .

the prevoius owner got it tested in triple 7 rolling road in cookstown co tyroneabout 5 months ago- he also suggested a de-cat- also thanks for the advice on brakes as the current ones are not great- will check out your link about the vos chip- sounds interesting- cheers for your help- will keep you informed on progress :worship:
