Rocker gasket sealing question

Hey Guys

To tighten up the new camshaft pulleys I need to take the left rocker cover off. (to somehow block the cams apparently)
Now the question is, do I need to replace the gasket or just put back the old one? It never leaked but I can see there had been some sealant used before.
Which sealant is recommended to use?

Cheers
Peter

shouldnt have to take the cover off to tighten the pulley
is the belt fitted yet???
whats the torque on the pulley bolt??

No timing belt yet on marko.
Not sure about the torque yet - Have to look it up.. they were tight like hell when I was takin them off. :ponder2:

I've just found something like this on the net.. LOL maybe I should give it a go

To block/prevent the camshaft pulley from moving if you want to tighten it with those 80 Nm :|

As said above,

If you rely on the belt alone in its normal position, then the belt will slip when your tightening the pullies
