lads has anyone used a product for sealing a cracked head....

the head in my van (hyundai h100) is cracked....

and the mechanic i had it with today says he can use something to seal it......

he has to order it from england.......if this dont work it will be new engine or new head....

it supposedly works like rad weld but its not rad weld........

rubbish mate!!!!
stuff like aralite and epoxy resin are good for temp repair but the engine temperatures will weaken these products IMO...
where is the crack on the head???

i dont know where the crack is.....

i thought the head gasket was gone but he said the head gasket doesnt go.......the head cracks....and there is a crack in it....

whats happening is it is losing water.....there no leaks but when the rad cap is off you can see the water bubbling and level going down

well then its cracked across a cylinder allowing the cylinder compressed gases into the cooling system!!!!
its fooked man!!!
i would be amazed if some is on the market to repair this!!!!

These's products are very much hit and miss.
Your mechanic friend is probably getting something a bit stronger than Radweld.
I'm not 100% up on headgaskets, but if its only a small crack, stuff might seal it.
I know people who have done similar jobs, Worked for them,
Sound like your engine is freaked , but if the fix does the job, what the hell.
Its worth a go. Let us know how you get on.
