Rattle from dashboard

Hey I just got a Hawkeye Impreza 06 and after a bit of driving I discovered an annoying rattle, I have tracked it down to the drivers side air vent, when I hold it steady to the dash it stops. Does anyone know how to fix this? Can the vent be removed or is there a way to seat it properly. Cheers.

I had a honda civic before and everytime a new rattle formed , it was either bluetacked or glued into place ...
By the end of my 3 years of ownership there must have been 2 or 3 kilos of the stuff holding it together
