B O O S T SOLENOID

Does any1 know if a boost solenoid that has a different subaru part number to one that is already fitted to a specific model of car would cause any adverse affects if it were to be fitted, provided it has the same amount of ports and. Im thinking it should be ok but i am working under the assumption that in any case it is controlled by the ECU no matter what!!

any ideas ??

i'd say i'll be ok with that solenoid, i spoke with Ali Burrows today who, luckily enough for me, happened to have a solenoid in stock and said that once its has the same amount of ports as the one i wanna replace it should be ok.IF i heara lod bang when the car starts i knowits the wrong one....... HA HA! fingers crossed!
