new lambda, but still not right

carlee

Petrolheads
changed lambda on b4, reset ecu but car still running bad,
any ideas ?? Do i need to wait for managment light to come back
to check flash codes again??

Did you have the fault codes cleared from the ecu,
if not then id say you could double check them,
dont think anything new would show up unless
you had the check light come on since the last
time it was checked, but id say the cause of it
running bad could be any number of things,
bad spark, air mixture or lack of fuel, dodgy pump :dontknow:

read codes myself, 3 came up
31. throttle postion sensor circuit ???
32.A/F sensor #1 system ???
A/F sensor #2 system ???
oxygen sensor
33.vehicle speed sensor..??

how long do the battery need to be off to reset ecu ??

probably the most common reason is the maf. i would get a lend of one and check it before ied fork out the cash on one. but the b4 are a complicated car and there is a lot of things that can go wrong with actuators and all the boost pipes and solinoids. anyway if ye want to try a maf let me know and ill pop the one out of my yoke

the throttle poistion sensor is the potentiometer i would check thats working ok first that regulate the amount of air being allowed in to the engine,I would disconnect the afm if the car doesnt cut out you can rule that out,how many o2 sensors has the legacy got is there one on the up pipe and one on the exhaust side.
