Revs jump up

Hi all,

Was driving earlier and had put the car into 3rd gear, 5 or so seconds later the revs shot up by themselves and then returned to what they were at before it happened. Any idea what would cause this???? Have noticed it happen in 2nd also a few times.

get the car in 4th at around 30 mph and floor it, if the revs shot up and the speed doesnt the clutch will need to be replaced,If it is try not drive it otherwise you will wreck the flywheel :thumbsup:
