Have a strange noise coming from the engine when i start my car.It only happens when the engine is warm a bit and lasts for about 30 seconds.Cant explain it,only that it sounds like my brothers Alfa 156 when he starts his that all Alfas have.Anyone ever have this problem?

Hard to explain.Kind of like a weak humming noise but its loud enough.Only when the revs are low.

I thought piston slap only happened when the engine was cold?

Is it a ticking noise?
 
Doesnt really happen when its cold because the engine is at higher revs to warm it up.Might happen if i left the engine cool for awhile but the noise wouldnt last that long.
