car trouble

hey people i just changed engine in car, its been driving perfect for last day or so,THEN as i was taking a bend the car gave a surge of power with feet off pedals, it drove fine straight after that, and about a mile up the road i lost power in car, then it was grand, it kept repeating this process........ any ideas on what could be causing this??????
 
right lads we checked for fueling issues, and thats a negative, we changed the coil pack thinking it wasnt gettin enough spark, and its not that..... any other ideas please..............
 
dont think so. its also kinda back firing back up through the induction kit if that makes sense
 
Bring it to one of the traders and get it hooked up to a computer for diagnostics.

it shouldnt need a remap, engine came from a 96 EJ20 same as original, thats what i was told.
