Here are the long awaited details folks!

Sideways-Racing have finally secured what is regarded as one of Ireland's most desirable venues for motor sport events.
The 2010 Irish Championship is the ONLY series that will bring you the FASTEST machines in Ireland, guaranteed!
This event will be everyone's first chance to see the current champions in action and I for one can't wait to see their newly improved machines back in anger after the Winter lay-off.

Entry numbers will be very much limited to ensure that all drivers get a certain value for money.
(No-one wants to spend all day in a massive queue-athon!)

ENTRY FEES (No hidden charges):
Advance entries: £50 (Incl Driver + 1 spectator Free, incl Paypal fee)
On-the-Day entries: £55 (Incl Driver + 1 spectator Free)
Spectator Admission: £10 (Includes Free Entry to Show 'n' Shine)

Websites and Car Clubs welcome. Trophies for best Web / Club displays.
* Race Entry is open to Bikes as well as cars.

I remind you all again that entries will be limited on this occasion.
Entries can be reserved here: http://www.sideways-racing.com/book_online.html
...OR by posting a Chq to: SWRC, PO Box 25, Saintfield, BT24 7WY

Here is an abbreviated version of the race classes:

DRAG CLASSES Classes 1 – 4 are for production cars that are, or have been available on general sale to the public, including foreign imported models.
Any non-compliant vehicle (such as a racing special) will automatically be graded in the ‘Pro Class’.

2010 DRAG Dates as follows:

14th Mar (Enn) - Round 1

9th May (BC) - RWYB
6th June (BC) - Round 2
4th July (BC) - RWYB
1st Aug (BC) - RWYB
29th Aug (BC) - Round 3
10th Oct (BC) - Finale & Presentations

There are no drop scores this year and the Finale will be the only Double scoring round, so every one counts.
Plus the extra time in between allows for experimenting with set-up and testing on the strip at the RWYB events.

I'm looking again at running sections for cars with only limited Mod's within each class.
It would be possible for us to impose a minimum time bracket.
For example, below are the fastest and the average times for each class in 2009.

Class 1 (Over 11.5) - Fastest: 11.590
Class 1 - Average: 12.813
Suggested Bracket: 12.5

Class 2 - Fastest: 12.353
Class 2 - Average: 13.661
Suggested Bracket: 13.3

Class 3 - Fastest: 13.177
Class 3 - Average: 14.753
Suggested Bracket: 14.3

Class 4 - Fastest: 14.142
Class 4 - Average: 15.726
Suggested Bracket: 15.3

These brackets are intended to give standardish cars something to shoot for.
If you go below this bracket you STAY in your class but will be competing for the outright class win.
You DO NOT BREAK OUT of your CLASS!

It seems I can't send or even reply to messages on here :1poke:

@ JayB4

You'll be in Class 1, but as you can see here in the recent updates, you'll be in with every chance in the 12.5 sec bracket:

CLASS 1 STREET. Minimum ET 12.5 sec. (Any passenger vehicle with any engine and transmission configuration. EG: Evo, Sub, GTR)
CLASS 1 PRO STREET. 11.500 - 12.499 sec

MODIFIED CLASS: 10.500 - 11.499 sec (Any non-road based car or purpose built drag car will automatically enter this class)
PRO MODIFIED: 9.500 - 10.499 sec
PRO ELITE: Any car having recorded a time <9.5 seconds

Essentially what this does is puts the tuners and the super highly modded cars in a class of their own. The "Modified" Class
