Gearbox problem

Removed drain plug today and this lad was stuck to it,just wondering what it was?
It doesnt look like its broke off anything,maybe a key or something,car is driving away fine only problem is
the crunchy 5th,cheers :thumbsup:
 
Any marks or break off lines in it ? Hardly a piece of selector fork is it . Never had a scooby box apart so not sure............. :dontknow:

Deffo no break marks on it just one little piece,i was going taking off the transfer case to have a look at the end nut
on the shaft that gets loose sometimes,might cure box if..... its loose but its probably syncro related anyway.
 
check 5th gear selector hub . they fall out sometimes from over selecting 5th . you will have 3 in total . most of the time its fixable but not always . you also need to mod 5th / rev selector to help stop this happening .
 
Took off case today,and found that 1 of the clips that holds in the 3 keys was broken,where would i
get 1 or 2 of them asap?cheers
