anyone have any info on gc8 sti limp mode causes and syptoms as havent found any info on the web,like does a cel light come up,thanks

You'll get a check engine light, it can be triggered from any number of things going wrong in the car. Probably best to get the car hooked up to a Subaru computer to check the fault code...

if theres no fault code and the history isnt throwing up anything and it wont boost over 0.5 bar any ideas.

Is the car still reving up properly?

Limp mode normally restricts revs not boost afaik

Not boosting properly can be down to a faulty boost solenoid or MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor. As above though, have her checked out by someone who has diagnostic equipment
