try a switch from one the other doors first to rule out a switch

If a fault occurs with the drivers door switch for that window then the switch on that door won't work either as all power goes through that switch first.
I'd probe the motor and find out if power is getting down to it, If its not then probe it with +12V and it should work. If it is then the motor is faulty

I had this a while a go when my car dies, swapped out the aletnator, drivers window wouldn't work all other where fine...dies agin after being sat up for a wekk or so jumped the car and it started working again, strange one but maybe disconnect your battery for a while and see what happens
