Anyone ever put newage shocks in a classic?

I got a set of newage shocks, so decided to put them in my classsic.

The fronts are grand but the rears are causing hassle. The top mounts are different, so changed them for classic top mounts, but they knock and they don't tighten down enough. By that i mean, there is a collar on the shock shaft and the classic top mount doesn't sit down far enough so even when the centre nut is tightened there is still free play.

I've heard this can be done, but just wondering if anyone here has done it?

Cheers for any advice

Not sure Mark, But worth a try. I'm sick of the coilovers in my standard sti.

Think I might do that Tony. Do you have the rears done too? The fronts are a straight swap just the rears that cause hassle
