in a bit of bother

well lads
not going to bore ya all with too much detail but the motor is in a bit of bother
it aint been running right the last while
started off with maf cos it had lost a lot of power
tried that and nothing wrong with it
next to try was the ht leads- still ruunning poor
got the other halfs father ( retired mechanic) to have a look today and he found the problem straight away
he found one of the spark plugs loose- turns out that one of the plugs had split on the porcelan part- also the threads seem to be damaged as it wouldnt tighten


just wondering what my options are- the other halfs dad reckons i might have to replace the head!!

if so what is the best way to go about doing this????
would i be just better replacing the engine or just the head???

http://www.helicoil.in/pdf/HeliCoil Catalogue.pdf, think 5523-14 in a 3/4 should do you. i've used theese before and worked a treat. dont know how you would be fixed for room in the subaru
