whining noise at low speeds

at low speeds i hear a whining noise from the back of my wrx when i ease on the breaks it goes,got new break pads a while ago and it went for a while but now its back :hammerhead:any ideas?

Normally a whining like that is the squeel shims on brake pads, It lets you know when they are nearly worn, but is sounds more like a squeek at low speed. But, rear brakes dont do that much work so if you already got them replaced its not likely to be that , however if it disappeared last time just check it.

did you try and see if the linings have come off the hand brake shoes inside the rear discs have seen it happen

Was thinking the same, maybe handbrake shoes and not pads or anti squeal shims :thumbsup:
