Hi folks,
Its not about my car, just like to say that, ha ha .
Friend of mine has an Evo 7, fully forged engine, only done recently. But ever since its been rebuilt and a power map there are 5ft flames shooting out the back of his car during hard driving when he changes gear!! It doesnt have anti-lag or anything sooooo?
Is this normal?
My own thoughts was that either the valves were'nt seated properly and a small bit of the Air/fuel mixture was getting out to the manifold, kind of an old anti-lag feature I know!
Second was that the car was set up to run VERY rich and not all the air/fuel mixture was being burnt in the cylinder and therefore was igniting in the exhaust system, due to the very high temperatures present there.
Also this cant be good for turbo charger can it?
Anyone any idea? Just interested to find out the reason for this is all!
Cheers guys
Paddy
P.S. I know mitsi's should be burned anyway but would just like to know what started the fire ha ha ha
