On a 02 bug eye which side of the engine is bank 1 ?

Bank 1 is where cylinder 1 is. So in a Subaru its pre cat. As in headers.

Drivers side next to the turbo...

If looking in on the engine its on the left just to the left of the top mount as such!

As dave says pre cat..your bolts for downpipe are below!

Thanks for the info lads, Throwing fault code for running lean on bank 1, and car is very reluctant to boost

If struggling get it to one of the traders...can do a diagnostic on her...

Think dave (Dave Sti Tuning) has new equip to check faults and also Ciaran (ASD) is a wizard so

either of them lad and youd be sorted!

Have Launch x431 diagnostics myself, That's the fault she throwing up on launch

Bank 1 is an eobd term it is used for v engines mostly so any four cylinder engine has only one bank if it had two banks it would have two pre cat sensors and two post cat i had that issue on my 01 bug and a new lambda sensor sorted it
