ecu map

hey all as above if an ecu was mapped how would you know what map was done on it.the ecu doesnt say ecutek or anything else and would it be licensed to the car or the ecu

No real way of knowing,unless a mapper looks at the ecu,and the licence is to the ecu,so ecu could be sold on... :thumbsup:
 
nice one rob i am picking up an ecu tonight that i was told was mapped so if i could get someone to tell me that might know id save a packet cheers mate
 
no visual way of knowing AFAIK!!!
the mappers name will be on the license when they log in!!!

As above, no visual way of knowing. If you go to the likes to Dave in STi Tuning, pretty sure he has the ECUTEK software and cable and can check for you.

@ al i know it will need a tweek map as i dont know what work was done to the car it came out of but it was a car belonging to andrew nesbitt it was supposed to be quick so going by that it was probably mapped for a lot
