v3 sti/ra NCT failure...any ideas ???

my son just had his v3 sti/ra in for its nct yesterday and it failed...

it failed on not having a sealing fuel filler cap.

his car has a flimsey filler cap that you push the nossle into and fill and it will spring back up when you finished,with it being an ra i reckon its one of those weight saving yokes...

anyway...anybody else with a ra have this prob ?

secondly it should be a easy fix if i can swap it for a "proper" fuel cap of a scrapped car ?? yeah ???

any advise/thoughts ...all wecome !!!

should have an ordinary turn cap from the factory, any subaru dealer will get you one

Did it fail on anything else.

Think theres a few different models of cars that have that type of push thingy.(megane)Im sure theres a door covering the neck .

Rather than having to swap for a proper one could you not buy one of the replacement caps(most garages sell) pop in on way to centre and leave in boot when finished.

Sure someone will be along later with a better fix

It's insane.
Soon they're gonna fail the cars on improper smell inside.
