Rattling shocks on a blobeye

:thumbsup: My cousin has an 05 STI blobeye and has a problem with rattling shocks. Its on standard shocks with tein lowering springs. There rattling between the strut and piston. Anyone else with this problem as i here its an on going with them and anyone with a reasonable solution as shocks arent cheap? :dontknow:
 
Could well be needing new shocks but check the anti roll bar link arms first, they make a hell of a racket when they're wore
 
:thumbsup: Cheers lad. He was up at McKeevers yesterday and Sean told him that its probably the lowering springs thats allowing the shocks to rattle. Hes going to get original springs for it!

I have a 05 sti and i had that same problem and had to get new shocks.

Thats main dealer prices for ya. He got 2 back ones of McKeevers but says front one are starting to rattle. How much did you pay Skips?

It will be the top mounts for the rear shocks :doh:

If you talk to Eric Sti about it, he will be able to tell you the fix :thumbsup:

Its a fairly standard problem on newage STI's :doh:
