Question - Engine information

Sunday Drivers
Hey guys,
I apologise if this is a rubbish question, but regarding my WRX, is the engine type standard on all Irish 2.0L turbos or are there differences? It is a straight 2.0L turbo with no modifications. The car manual listed in the links section of this website give information for DOHC and SOHC engines. How can I tell what engine is in my car? Needless to say I am a complete novice in all things engine related and any info would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

the engine can vary from car to car,
each car up trough the years changed slightly.

so no its not just one standard engine.

best to bring it to the pro's

Regarding your Irish WRX, yes the engines are all the same out of the box but modifacations could have been made by previous owners.
Cheers
John

As above all wrx 2.0l are ej 20 engines just variations for years of but they are all dohc as in double overhead camshaft that means two camshafts per bank of pistons sohc engines single overhead camshaft have only one per bank of pistons
