power steering pump

my power steering is making alot of noise lately, its grand when driving easy but when drivin fairly hard it whines quiet loudly
the rubber seal went between the resevoir anf the pump a couple months ago so i think she gone sine then

i have checked now and the resevoir is full and there are no leaks

is a new pump expensive or would i be safe enough with a second hand one (its a 96 v limited classic wrx)

I replaced mine with a second hand one a year ago and the pump is grand still but the gasket between pump and tank needs replacing as the used pump i got had a different tank on it so i used my old tank with the new pump.
It only leaks a bit so a small top up every couple of months seems to be ok :thumbsup:
 
Yeah definitley go second hand.
About 100euro.
New Subaru pump was 560euro when i was looking :hammerhead:

a mate got a second had one off ebay during the week for 60 euro delivered...might be worth a look.....
