Bonnet lining

Looking to remove the insulation thats on the underside of the bonnet as there is a dent there someone left for me i need to check. Wont do any harm driving without that lining for a few days while its off? Im presume its sound deadening or heat insulation of some kind?
 
so not too important them! I'll stick it back on if i can but most of those stupid plastic clips that hold it on are a bitch to get off and usually end up snapping off in the process. Already broke one off! :mooner:
